xemei caricatures

Stefano & Max Colombo, the Venetian twin brothers who run the best italian restaurant in town – Xemei, located in Montjuic, and the new charming wine and cheese market bar in el Born- Brutal in Can Cisa , mean business.

Xemei Restaurant offers a short selection of market dishes and some attitude …all be said, because rumors say even Woody Allen’s reservation was cancelled due to tardiness. So if you go – and you should – show up on time.

And yes, a reservation is recommended and some patience. But the twins are BIG and successful, in Barcelona, also with women! and you don’t want to argue with those big muscled tattooed arms that have paddled the Canals in Venice and now knead the best pasta dough in Barcelona!

…and here is a little story
Fashionista & the city recently hosted a beautiful family from Malibu CA.
I personally took them for lunch to Xemei, the mother asked if I could introduce her to the twin chefs, she had a story to share with them. So I did, …even if getting the attention of the two brothers was not an easy task on that busy day.

The story, that was long and kept them standing awaiting for the grande finale, appeared in the New York Times paper.
Two twin brothers who were separated and adopted by New York Jewish families found each other at the age of 19 and later on opened Twins a restaurant to discover later on they were not twins but triplets, a third Shafran (their last name) appeared after reading the news and so they built Triplets a kosher Steak House in 11 Grand Street, Manhattan.
